My Most Read Blog Posts in 2025

If you follow me on LinkedIn, you’ll know that I’m taking a slightly different approach to 2026. I’m easing myself in gently rather than throwing myself into the whole ‘New Year, New Me’ thing. To kick start this period of ‘reflection’, I’ve been sifting through the analytics from my blog posts. I’m a self-confessed data nerd, so I love any excuse to do a deep-dive!

Although I published 10 new blog posts in 2025, it was a selection of golden oldies that made it into my Top 5 most-read list!

Are you ready to discover the top 5 blog posts my readers delved into last year at TheMindfulGingernut.com?

Here goes…

1 – Why Being Single At 40 Feels So Different

A photo of me at 40 years old, with the title of the blog post along the bottom of the photo

I wrote this blog post in October 2024, and it really spoke to a lot of you! In this post, I reflect on my experience of being single in my 40s and how different it felt from being single in the previous decades of my life.

My last relationship was one of the best I’ve been in, so I knew I needed to give myself the time to grieve my relationship and do some work on myself.

I write about what dating might look like in my 40s, with dating apps, navigating relationships where potential partners may already have kids and a lot of history, rediscovering how to communicate after a long break from dating, and valuing my own company after years of being in relationships.

2 – Love or Loyalty?

Inspired by a conversation we had when I worked in an office, this has been one of my most-read blog posts for the last 6 years! It explores the question, if you absolutely had to choose, what matters more…love or loyalty?

We were good together. We just never quite got our timing right.

Drawing on my own experiences in past relationships, I reflected on moments when love faded, but loyalty remained, and vice versa, and asked whether staying in a relationship out of loyalty alone really leads to happiness.

3 – Weston-super-Mare, Burnham-On-Sea, and Brean

After a trip to Somerset in Autumn 2021, I wrote this one about revisiting places I hadn’t seen since childhood and exploring a few new ones.

That first visit will be etched in my memory forever for one reason only…eating hot sugary doughnuts at the end of the Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare in the pouring rain!

I love writing about my adventures in this country and further afield. Maybe this is a sign I need to write about more of my adventures again!

4 – The Best Way To See Cheddar Gorge

A view of Cheddar Gorge from the side of the road with the title of the blog post across the bottom of the picture.

Another favourite from my trip to Somerset in 2021, in this blog post I write about visiting Cheddar Gorge. I drove through Britain’s deepest gorge, navigated the dramatic roadside, wandered the quaint village, and tackled the 274 steps of Jacob’s Ladder before setting out on a clifftop walk.

I could see for miles, and I felt as though I was on top of the world.

5 – What is a Sound Bath?

In this blog post from January 2023, I wrote about my first-ever in‑person sound bath and answered the question I’d been asked a lot: what is a sound bath?

Part way through, I felt my insides shuddering. I thought it may’ve been from the cold, but it felt different. It was like waves were rippling through my bloodstream.

I covered my own experience, the different sounds you might hear during a sound bath, including Tibetan singing bowls and gongs, and the many benefits of having a sound bath.

So there we have it! My top 5 most-read blog posts of 2025. A good mix of travel, wellbeing and relationships!

Have you read them? Which was your favourite? What kind of posts would you like to see more of in 2026?

Until next time 👋🏻
