Happy September everyone!
I feel as though it’s been an absolute age since I last wrote a new blog post. August is always such a busy month work wise, so trying to put together new content on top of that just doesn’t ever seem to go to plan. Over the last two summers, instead of stressing over new content, I’ve focused instead on editing and re-publishing old posts, which has actually been quite fun to do. It’s always interesting to see how much my writing style has changed since the original post was published.
This year, I took August to new extremes! Not only has work been full on, I’ve also moved to a new flat on the outskirts of London after getting fed up with with the noise and chaos of central London during lockdown. There’s a whole post coming up on other epic events which happened in August, but we’ll save that one for another day. I am however pleased to report that I’m settling into suburbia just fine, loving the peace and quiet, whilst also being a stones through from the hustle and bustle. The best of both worlds.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I’m not adverse to a new chapter. I love a new beginning. So, when I was recently gifted this beautiful notebook from the Old English Company, with it’s incredibly apt front cover, I was super excited to spread the word about the Lincolnshire based company.

The Old English Company was born in London during 2013. Now settled in Stamford, Lincolnshire, the company design and create beautiful personalised products and use sayings and quotes which resonate with so many. Although they are an English company, they deliver their products worldwide.
The personalised foil notebooks come in 4 different colours (black/white/grey/blush pink), and you can chose from a variety of sayings such as:
- She Believed she Could so she did
- You are Braver than you Believe, Stronger than you seem, and Smarter than you Think
- My brain has too many tabs open
- One Friend can Change your Whole Life
- Dreams & Ideas
The beautiful softback cover makes the A5 notebook lovely to handle. With 140 lined pages, there is ample space to write lists, project ideas, notes etc.

You also get the opportunity to personalise the notebook. As you will see from my chosen design above, I chose to have ‘The Mindful Gingernut’ printed on mine, as I will be using my note book to write notes for future blog posts. You can also personalise your notebook with a date, making it a perfect birthday or anniversary gift.

As a huge thank you for supporting me and The Mindful Gingernut over the last 2 years, I’m delighted to provide you with a code so you can receive 15% off one of these beautiful notebooks. All you need to do is visit the Old English Company website and when you go to the checkout, enter the code below:

With Christmas just around the corner, I know I’ll certainly be buying a few of these to give to friends and family over the festive period.
Will one of these be making it’s way onto your wish list this Christmas?
Oh the cover looks so beautiful 👌 and I can’t believe Christmas is just around the corner!
