Signing out of 2020

Happy day after Boxing Day folks!

I hope this finds you all well-fed and relaxed after the Christmas festivities.

I’m taking a short break from my usual post this week as I find myself sitting here knee-deep in my first freelance project. It’s incredibly exciting to be moving straight from my day job into my first freelance project, but I’ve somehow found myself committing to writing 25,000 words by New Year’s Eve! Possibly my first rookie error, but I’m determined to make it work!

I couldn’t bear the thought of not posting on what seems to have become my traditional blog posting day, so I wanted to find 5 minutes to hop on here to check-in, to make sure you all had good Christmasses, and to wish you all a happy and healthy New Year.

I’ll be back next Sunday with my first blog post of 2021, as I take a look at the year ahead and lay down some new goals.

Whilst my goals in 2021 may not be as ambitious as they have been in previous years, due to the current uncertainty, I still want to have something to aim for next year.

I’ve seen a lot of posts from people recently who seem reluctant to make goals or resolutions for the new year, but for me, the key to 2021 will be to make sure your goals are as flexible and as simple as possible and to make sure you don’t put yourself under any unnecessary pressure if you do not fulfil them.

Well, that’s me signing out for 2020. I look forward to chatting to you all again next year. I’ll leave you with a snapshot of our Christmas celebrations.

Sending you all lot’s of love and peace x

Twas the night before Christmas…
Christmas Day breakfast. Salmon and pork pie for me, pork pie for my partner in crime
Christmas dinner…there was some chicken hiding under that pile too!
Homemade festive treats – mince pies, Christmas cookies, and Christmas cake
We spotted this beautiful heron on our Boxing Day walk yesterday.
