Welcome to The Mindful Musings of a Gingernut.
My name is Becky and I’m in clinging onto my middle 30s. Oh, and if you hadn’t guessed…I’m ginger! I’m a country girl at heart having grown up in rural Northamptonshire. However, four years ago, work brought me to London, the place I now call home.
I grew up surrounded by a small but beautiful circle of friends, and the most amazing family I could ask for. But life, like most people’s, has been full of ups and downs.
In 2012, I lost my best friend. After 28 years, she decided she’d had enough of this life.
And that’s one of the reasons I am here, writing this blog. Not just as a tribute to her, but also much needed therapy for me. And perhaps to help others too who have been through similar experiences.
My musings are largely written from the comfort of my flat in London, where I live with my cat, Wigs.
From my journey of self discovery, to exploring this great city I find myself living in, to self care, relationships, and wellbeing, The Mindful Musings of a Gingernut shares my journey through life with you, as we all adjust to living in this increasingly crazy world.
As much as I write about my own experiences, I would love to hear from you, and for you to share your thoughts in the comments section below each blog. There is no one size fits all in this life, but we can learn so much from each other, if we open our eyes and our minds.
I look forward to sharing my musings with you.
Becky – The Mindful Gingernut
I will like your blog, Becky – not just because I have a daughter called Becky and grew up in London. I, too, have had my ups and downs.

Hi Becky
I can see the power of decluttering your mind. You write so beautifully. Keep it up! X

Thank you so much Helen, your comments mean a lot. Blogging really is proving to be great therapy and whilst my blog is in its early days, my mind already feels so much better for starting the decluttering process x
