My Mission
I help businesses show up online in a way that feels human, balanced, and kind. With clarity and integrity guiding everything I do, I provide practical support, tips, and strategies that make social media marketing manageable, meaningful, and aligned with your values.
My Core Values
These aren’t just business values — they’re personal ones too. They shape how I live, how I work, and how I support the people I collaborate with.
Balance
It’s not just my own wellbeing I look after, I look after yours too. In a world that barely switches off, I don’t believe in always being “on.” I help you build a consistent online presence that works for your business without taking over your life. I take holidays, go hiking, and enjoy downtime, but I always make sure my clients’ work stays on track. Together, we’ll focus on what’s sustainable, so marketing your business supports your wellbeing and mine, without stress, burnout, or overwhelm.
Being Human
Business should feel human. No unnecessary jargon, no pressure to perform, and no pretending to be something you’re not. I help individuals and businesses show up online, in a way that feels natural, honest, and true to you. Afterall, people connect with people, not perfection.
Kindness
Kindness sits at the heart of everything I do. I aim to make every interaction supportive and collaborative, whether it’s answering your questions, helping you navigate online content, or guiding you through new ideas. Running a business can be overwhelming at times, so I focus on creating a space where you feel understood, supported, and never judged. As a Kindness Ambassador, I bring this ethos into everything I do, helping clients feel confident, respected, and cared for.
From Cards to Social Media
So, you’ve stumbled across my website and found yourself wanting to know more about The Mindful Gingernut?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved telling stories. From writing stories for school projects to playing my saxophone and creating art, storytelling has always been at the heart of what I do. My path to a creative career hasn’t been straightforward, but I’m grateful that storytelling is now at the forefront of everything I do, whether that’s through social media or photography.

Fun Fact: This isn’t my first business! Fresh out of school, I started an online greetings card business! I loved making cards (and still do sometimes!), but back then, I was worried about making mistakes and terrified about filing a tax return! I folded the company before it even really got started, but perhaps it was an early sign that I was destined to follow a creative career path.
Thankfully, these days, I’m less afraid of making mistakes! After my first attempt at running a business, I found myself working in football. It was a dream job for me. Yet, it lacked space (and time) to be creative. It was rules-heavy and structured in such a way, I was unable to bring any creativity into my role.
I loved my time in football, but after 15 years, redundancy came knocking during the pandemic. I grabbed the opportunity to explore how to bring some creativity back into my work life. While working my notice period, I was approached by someone looking for a Social Media Manager. Fast forward a couple of months, and that someone became my first paid social media client, and the start of The Mindful Gingernut.
Why Health, Wellbeing & Leisure?
Ten years ago, when I first left my hometown, I’m not sure I’d even heard of the term ‘wellbeing’. It’s become quite the buzzword, and understanding my own wellbeing and actively improving it has changed my life.
That’s why I love supporting businesses in the health, wellbeing and leisure sectors: I understand the impact your work can have on people’s lives, and I know how to communicate that in a way that feels authentic, supportive, and effective.
